The Bill of Material Module permits definition of approved itemized lists of parts used in support of plant maintenance equipment and related activities. Bill of Material may define lists of parts associated to unique equipment Ids, maintenance tasks, or a specific make/model of a product.

The Bill of Material system is shared or referenced by a number of other CHAMPS components including Equipment, Work Order, Preventive Maintenance, Materials, and Purchasing and Inventory, and serves as an important connecting link in the CHAMPS Maintenance System. The Bill of Material system may be used to assist in material requirement planning of preventive maintenance tasks and work orders and to help determine inventory requirements.
