MAINTENANCE -PERMITS
The CHAMPS Permit Module allows you to establish a Baseline, form-text
document that describes the permit details, steps and procedures. This
form Template can be used when establishing various Permit Templates.
After the desired permit type has been selected, you can specify the various
criteria (i.e., Maintenance Location, Physical area or a Contained area,
etc), define special instructions, specific descriptions or monitoring
status. Permit Templates may be associated with Equipment records. Associating
a Permit Template to an Equipment Id only signifies that these permits
may be required when creating a work order, using the Equipment Id identified
as the primary for the work order step. The Permit Module includes the
following features:
- Permit Templates are created by using the “Permit Type”
as a source for the form-text. Multiple Permit templates may be created
from the same ‘Permit Type’ code. The Permit Auto Comments
will automatically populate the fields, saving you valuable time in
creating new Permits. The user may then modify or extend the document
text to meet the exact requirements of the Permit Template.
- Permits provide the ability for route slip creation and approval.
Permits have a workflow document category of “Permit” (under
the “Permit to Work” Group), and a user-defined workflow
for each ‘Permit Type’.
- Permits may be associated with PM Tasks indicating that Permits are
required and the permit document(s) will be created for the Work Order
Step when it is generated from the PM Task. This same feature is also
applied to Permit Templates.
- Permits can be created and then later associated to Work Order Steps.
A Permit may be shared by multiple Work Orders.
- Permit templates provide the ability for route slip creation and approval.
